A Frog He Would A-Wooing Go
An old nursery rhyme.

Assemblage of found objects
49 x 30 x 6 cm
Dale Copeland

I found the central pieces .. two toy frogs and the board for some sort of shell game.
They looked good together, but held no meaning. Until I gave the big one a salivating tongue and a keen look.
It began to look like that old nursery rhyme.
I found the pieces to make some comparisons ... wooing or courting through different ages & fashions.
Small china heads from the romantic and 'proper' 40's
And, on the right, the realities of display. The modern woman and the archetypical lusting man.
