Do you know who the figure represents? Nor do I. Others might immediately recognise her as a Hindu goddess or a Malaysian wise woman or just a beautiful Balinese woman. So much depends on where we grew up, on what our parents believed, what stories we were told. I made the 'floor' from old dice, to represent the luck of which stories we were told as facts. Our beliefs, our certainties ... so much depends. |
