Philosophy of the Found
A handbound book by Dale Copeland

Limited edition of 100.

With my gratitude to Creative New Zealand for their assistance.

Leather bound, with flyleaves of either handmade harakeke (NZ flax) paper, or paper handmade and handprinted in Nepal.
Each with small treasures embedded in the cover.
Price, including postage, is NZ$350 or US$220, or €200, or £180 - that includes postage to those different countries.

(They have to be so expensive sorry. I added up the costs of the printing, the leather and the handmade paper.
Then I timed myself making them. Scary.

I'm posting images of 5 new books each Sunday. Sometimes I can manage to make more than 5 in a week ...
I'll save those for September 1st and release images of all 100,
to coincide with the opening of the exhibition Philosophy of the Found
showing assemblages by Robert Villamagna, USA, and Dale Copeland, NZ.

Silly me.
So engrossed with the binding and the covers, I didn't give you any indication of what's inside!
80 pages, full colour, over 100 of my artworks ... mostly assemblage, some collage. And the associated description, rant, blather.
Call it what you will - my thoughts.
Here are 3 snapshots from inside the book:

And, for those who asked, these page images enlarge so the text is legible.      And, just for a laugh, working conditions at the Puniho Press.
Mask not for a virus but for the glue smell.
