Remembrance of Things Past
by Dale Copeland
340 X 445 X 60 mm
Mixed media - piano keys, book cover, polished stones, vase, fossil mouse
Artist's collection.

The flowering of aging loins, sweet music of memory

Old book cover and vase, the ivory keys from my granny's piano,
with berries and leaves made from polished stone, poking through the pelvic girdle of a long-gone animal.
And a fossilised mouse.

The title is Proust, but the work is personal.
Although I think Proust might have liked that dry little mouse.

Dale Copeland lives at Puniho, coastal Taranaki, New Zealand
